Portraits with picturesque blur/bokeh

There is a lot more you can do with a lens than only taking a sharp photo. The transformation of the blurred areas into picturesque, abstract blurs of color can turn a picture into something very special. Some lenses – especially older ones – offer this possibility.

We will work with a model and see how this blur, called Bokeh, can be used for impressive portraits. We will start in the Stadtgarten-park and later use the city lights as a picturesque background. While most of the time we will photograph freehand, at some point it might be helpful to use a tripod. You will be given the opportunity to test several lenses, during the workshop.
